My Approach
My Approach
Our work together is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, goals, and lived experience. In our initial sessions, I take time to get to know you—your history, current challenges, and what you hope for in your life. This allows us to thoughtfully co-create a therapeutic plan and identify the approaches and tools that will best support you. Our sessions are then guided by this shared understanding, while remaining flexible and responsive to what feels most alive for you in the moment.
I draw from a range of evidence-based, trauma-informed, and body-oriented approaches, working with both present-day concerns and the deeper patterns or root experiences that may be shaping them. Sessions may include cognitive and reflective work, somatic or mindfulness-based practices, emotional processing, and practical strategies to support change. I often begin sessions with a brief grounding or breath practice and may offer reflections, “heart work,” or gentle action steps to explore between sessions, helping integrate insights into daily life. I value the use of metaphor, humour, and authenticity, and—when appropriate and with your consent—I may thoughtfully share elements of my own experience to support connection and understanding.
My areas of focus include working with emerging and young adults, somatic and trauma-informed therapy, relationships and sexuality, and psychedelic integration.
